The True Snow Yeti..

I have only known Andrew for about 9 months. But in this short time, few inspires me like he does when it comes to pure adventurous spirit. I knew him from going to the same ski training last year. At the time, he has only been skiing once before that. Like many of us who has gone skiing for the first time, we fell in love with it. For some of us (like me), we fell in love with the snow so much, we dream of living near the snow, ski all year and do just that for the rest of our lives. In reality, our dreams usually die off once we realise how expensive skiing is, and plain old daily life takes over. Not for Andrew. He takes it one step further..

Before I tell you what happened, let me give you some background about him. He’s in the same industry as me (Information Technology), younger than me (damn you), earning very good income (I assume), and I think he was just bored. He’s a very bubbly and friendly guy, wears glasses and have a nerdy look to him. But, don’t let that fool you. He’s one guy who is willing to do anything to get what he wants. And he proved just that a few months ago, when he decided to have a white Christmas in Japan. In short, he decided he can’t stand another day without snow, booked a plane ticket on the same day, and flew off the next day. It’s MAD!! The forum link below documents his crazy doing right from the day before he decided to go, to the end of his adventure. His name is “SnowYeti”:
