JB Invading Sydney

JB has decided to take a last minute holiday to Sydney. He was going to come here around mid-october. The abrupt decision was because a primary school friend from the Phillipines has just arrived here in Sydney with Ingrid. So, he thought it’s a good chance to come and pay them a visit. Besides, the last time he was down here in Sydney was in 2000! So off he came..

Anyway, his flight arrived at 8am. Went to pick him up with Marissa’s van which she drove up specifically for this occassion. The tour started by taking him home back to our place, followed by a quick stroll around Darling Harbour. As it was relatively early still, we decided to go to the fish markets for breakfast. My favourite BIG pelicans are still there..

After breakfast, we went to Bondi Junction shopping centre for a bit of window shopping. We hardly walked into any of the shops, as most brands here, either we never heard of, or overly expensive! Anyway, as we had a pretty big breakfast, we decided to only have a snack lunch. We found a rather interesting snack stall, selling “Turkish Gozleme”. To me, it looks like a pancake, or crepe. It tasted quite different with spinach in it. But overall, it was a very interesting meal..

Since Bondi beach was so close, we then went there for a quick visit. As JB was into babes in swimsuits, I even took a picture of a lady in bikini for him. See the photo gallery. He reckons Bondi looks like Southbank fake beach..

Later in the evening, we went to Birkenhead Points for some factory outlet shopping, which is JB’s favourite. He was only to be disappointed that it didn’t have what he wanted, or as he put it, “It wasn’t that cheap”. He now has high expectations of Sydney’s DFO which we rave on about all the time.
