Korea is one of those destination that hasn’t been high on my list. Even though I’ve been there twice, they were not memorable, probably because one of those trip is a work trip, and the other one was just a stopover holiday on our way back from Japan. Besides, Seoul was pretty much the only place I actually visited before. Jeju Island whilst easily accessible from Singapore, never made it into our list of places to go for no good reason.
So this year, we changed that by planning a 10 day road trip around Jeju Island just to tick it off our list. What I can say after our trip is that it has single-handedly got me hooked on Korean culture. Maybe it’s the recent popularity of Korean dramas on Netflix, maybe it’s the addictive songs by BTS and Black Pink.. whatever it is.. there’s enough motivation for me to go learn the Korean alphabet and get into learning the language a bit more.
I don’t know if it will last, but at least Jeju Island was a heck of a lot more interesting than I thought it would be. Check out the video…
